Stretching is a fundamental requirement for soft tissue health. You may have noticed cats and dogs always stretch when they get up from a rest. This process primes the body for action. If you don't already do it, try adding a full body stretch to your daily habits before you get up in the morning.

At Your Essential Wellbeing we often incorporate stretching within the massage session to assist in the release of tight muscles, tendons and fascia. If it's appropriate, we will prescribe a stretching program for clients to help ease out restrictive tight spots or to provide self-help with a persistent problem.
